Paul Gilchrist is a Principal Lecturer in Human Geography at the School of Applied Sciences, University of Brighton, UK. He is Subject Leader for Human Geography and Planning, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Paul has researched, written and lectured primarily on the geographies of sport and leisure, for nearly two decades. Paul’s work has appeared in many academic journals and edited collections in geography and sport and leisure studies. He is a founding convenor of the Political Studies Association's Sport and Politics Study Group and joint Series Editor of the Advances in Leisure Studies book series published by Taylor & Francis.
